Project FREE is a Leicester-based C.I.C supporting schools and communities locally, and connecting educators globally through online learning events.
Our approach is rooted in radical hope — disrupting the status quo in the education system to work towards social, racial and educational justice.
We are an educational consultancy and resource hub, offering a range of services including long-term and short-term programmes and one-off enrichment events for schools and regular online learning events for educators wishing to enhance their personal and professional development.
Connect young people locally across ‘perceived differences’ to disrupt divisive thinking and challenge stereotypes.

We have worked on many exciting collaborations since establishing Project FREE; these have included working with Leicester based arts organisation, Inspirate, on The Roots of Our Tree project which commemorated the tenth anniversary of the reinterment of King Richard III
Local Leicester Primary schools were invited to take part in a programme of creative sessions exploring the significance of Richard III to their lives. This project culminated in around 300 children and their families taking part in a procession as part of Leicester City Council’s annual Light Up Leicester Event in March 2025.
Project FREE led the Schools Engagement aspect of this collaboration, to ensure the young people involved were representative of Leicester’s diversity. We also consulted on the details around the planning and delivery to ensure inclusivity was prioritised.
